WARNING: SPOILERS!
After reading about this episode, I decided to watch it online and boy oh boy was it a cool one. Diego, Zazie, Joe, Larry, Sonya and Tony are all fighting over a magazine to see who reads it and Ziggy makes a snarky comment about them fighting over a piece of paper.
Diego explains to Ziggy that they're fighting over a popular magazine called Mirage magazine and goes on to wish that he and his friends were on the front cover so Ziggy teleports them all to this room full of doors.
Now is when things get surreal: There is an hour time limit before the front cover photo shoot and all of Diego's friends go and spend time in their favorite section of the magazine.
First, Ziggy rescues Diego from the comic section when he is captured by an alien supervillain and is actually hopping through comic panels to get to him.
Then, Diego and Ziggy get out of the comic section and head to the sudoku section to find Zazie. Apparently, she's into puzzles and Ziggy blows up the puzzle section with dynamite and they escape.
Next, they round up Sonya in the astrology section and a lion made out of stars is talking to her (Sonya is a Leo, apparently). Ziggy asks Saggitarius to shoot a target and they all escape.
Next they round up Joe who is in the music section performing a rock concert. This surprised me because I never pegged him as the rock star type. Joe's kind of a jack-of-all-trades show-off as far as Diego's friends go (he's not that great an artist through, as shown in Portrait Of Diego Camel). I mean, Joe has been shown to be good at chess, music, virtual reality card games and skateboarding. Anyway, they ruin Joe's concert with bagpipes and he yells at them for ruining his legendary concert.
Next, they round up Larry in the surfing (Sports) section. Nothing too exciting here happens but then again, I hardly find myself paying attention to Larry.
Finally, they go to round up Tony and they find him in a special section. I thought about making dirty sex jokes when Ziggy was surprised that Tony was hiding the section from everyone but as it turns out, the section is the prize section and not the XXX section. Everyone pours into the prize section and there's a mountain of presents and video games and stuff. Diego and his friends (except Ziggy) treat it like Christmas and have a blast. Meanwhile, Ziggy is anxious about the time limit for the photo shoot and wants to get everyone on the front page.
They refuse to leave and Ziggy pitches a genie-sized tantrum causing an avalance of presents out the door.
In the end, Ziggy is the only one who makes it on the front cover and because of this, he becomes famous and Diego has to hide him from autograph hounds.
Overall, it was one of the most entertaining episodes I've seen so far. It was nice to get to see more of Sonya and what her interests were. Ziggy was funny like he usually is and Joe just gets more and more interesting.
